Florida’s population continues to grow…how will we address the impacts of that growth? How will we deal with an aging population, with more cars on the roads and more requests for drinking water? How will we recover from major storm events, or devastating natural calamities affecting agriculture, or address increased public education needs?
The Century Commission for a Sustainable Florida was established by the Florida Legislature in 2005 to answer these kinds of questions. It is comprised of 15 members, with 5 each appointed by the Governor, the Speaker of the Florida House and the President of the Florida Senate.
